SPI COMMITTEE ON EQUIPMENT STATISTICS NAMES OFFICERS FOR 2001-2003

WASHINGTON (May 7, 2001) – The Committee on Equipment Statistics of The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc., (SPI) has elected officers for FY 2001-2003. The SPI group collects comprehensive statistical data on plastics machinery and equipment.

Chosen to chair the Committee was William J. Gruber of Ferromatic Milacron, Batavia, Ohio. Vice Chair is Sandy Guthrie, Merritt-Davis Corp., Hamden, Conn. Mr. Guthrie also will chair the Extrusion Subcommittee.

Gunther Hoyt, Xaloy, Inc., Pulaski, Va.; Extrusion Subcommittee At-Large Representative Don Shade, Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering Co., Gloucester, Mass.; Injection Subcommittee Chair Jerry Boggs, Sumitomo (SHI) Plastics Machinery America, Erlanger, Ky.; and Injection Subcommittee At-Large Representative William Carteaux, Van Dorn Demag Corp., Strongsville, Ohio.
