SPI STATEMENT ON ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS) POLICY

Encourage member companies to promote the safety and health of their employees, to protect the environment, and to foster the creation of products that can be made and used in a safe and responsible manner.

In carrying out this policy the SPI shall:

  • Offer guidance and, where appropriate, assist member companies through the creation of EHS tools, such as procedures and practices.


  • Sponsor and influence the development of fair and sound public policy (e.g., legislation, regulations and standards).


  • Maintain EHS technical knowledge base within SPI staff.


  • Recognize exceptional EHS performance by member companies.


  • Establish and maintain a forum for EHS education and outreach.
